Services for Carolyn Sue Dodson, 70, of Tyler are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Keith Brown, pastor of Fair Park Baptist church officiating. Burial is in Tyler Memorial Park under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Ms. Dodson passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 in Tyler.
She was born on December 30 1941 in Henderson County to the late Harley and Artie Bernice Hobbs Dodson. She has been a resident of Tyler since 1945 and a member of Fair Park Baptist Church since 1950. She was an elevator operator in the Smith County Courthouse in the early 1960’s.
She leaves behind her aunts, Joy McGaun of Tyler and Ruth Lepeyer of Mixon; uncle, Bud McGlaun of Tyler; many cousins, her church family as well as many friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sunday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
