Chrystal was born on October 19, 1930, in Borger, Texas to Donley Winegar and Sadie Wheatley Winegar. She graduated from Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for several companies. Chrystal provided books for schools and libraries with Permabound for several years.
Her hobbies included, Quilting, Sewing, Reading and spending time with her family. She volunteered for her church, clubs and several organizations.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Garrett; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Mickel; daughter, Debbie.
A service will be held, November 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E 1st Street, Tyler, TX.
Chrystal will be laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
