Funeral services for Clodell Balensiefen Gurney are scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Chapel, Tyler, Texas.

Prior to Services, Visitation will be Monday, April 14, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM, at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas.

Clodell passed away Friday Evening, April 11, 2014 in Chandler, Texas at the age of 97. She was born on November 28, 1916, in Van Zandt County to John William and Daphne Duncan Conley.

Clodell graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1935. She had lived in the Tyler/Chandler area for 74 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler for 40 years. She was a housewife and sewed for the public also. She loved her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son- Danny Balensiefen of Chandler and his children Kim & Husband Chuck Riggs of Denver, Colorado, James Balensiefen of Chandler and Bethany Balensiefen and her son Gauge Osborn of Burleson; daughter-Debbie & her husband Jimmy Reeves of Chandler, and their children Lisa Bradshaw and her son Cole Bradshaw of Chandler; John and his wife Christa Reeves of Chandler and their children Dallas Reeves and Raelynn Reeves of Chandler. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and first husband of 45 years John Balensiefen. brother and sister-in-Law Kelly & Clara Conley. sister Elsie Conley, daughter-in-law Betty Balensiefen, and her second husband Oren Gurney.

The family of Clodell sincerely thanks the staff of Chandler Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for her care in her transition period.
