Connie O Ivy

Services for Connie Ivy, 90, of Whitehouse are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2011 at Southpoint Church of God with Rev. Gaylon Taylor officiating. Burial is in Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Mr. Ivy passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 in Tyler.

He was born on May 21, 1921 in Smith County to the late Sylvester and Essie Stainback Ivy. He was a charter member of the Whitehouse Assembly of God and was retired from Tyler Pipe after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Kenneth Forest Ivy.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ivy of Whitehouse; daughter Glenda Howell of Bullard; sons Ray Ivy of Whitehouse, Jerry Ivy of Phoenix, AZ and Jimmy Ivy of Whitehouse; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers are Charlie Welmaker, Darryl Welmaker, Daren Welmaker, Steven Langston, Dale Thurman, Christopher Kujath, Jonathan Welmaker and Nickolas Kujath. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Shaw, Paul Brummet, Dale Reel, Dan Fusco and Paul Jernigan.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
