

David W. McNeese, 81, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Hospice of East Texas. Dave was born October 11, 1930, in Springfield, Missouri to Earl and Alma McNeese. A member of Glenwood Church of Christ, his life was devoted to serving his Lord, his family, and his friends. Dave served as a deacon in several congregations in Missouri and Texas. He was also an elder at the South National Church of Christ in Springfield, Missouri. One of his greatest joys was to observe the spiritual devotion of his family.
In Springfield, Dave operated and managed service stations and was later in real estate sales. Moving to Texas in 1982, Dave was in sales until his retirement to Holly Lake and later Tyler. Even after retiring, Dave worked for several years as a courtesy attendant at East Texas Medical Center Olympic Plaza, leaving there to care for Kathryn, his wife of 62 years.
Dave is survived by his wife, Kathryn Hall McNeese; sons Art McNeese and wife, Holly of Flower Mound, Texas and Greg McNeese and wife, Suzie of Fort Worth, Texas; and by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard and Glen.
A memorial service for Dave will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, Glenwood Church of Christ, 5210 Hollytree Drive, Tyler.
