It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deklan Brandt Miller, who entered into his eternal home on June 13, 2026, at the age of 40, in Magnolia, Texas. Born on July 25, 1985, in Tyler, Texas, Deklan was a light in the lives of all who knew him.
Deklan is survived by his wife, Thuy, and stepsons Daniel and Armani; father, Rick Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Buck Eason; and brother, Derek Miller. He cherished his role as an uncle to his nieces and nephew: Peyton, Mady, and Molly Eason. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Debra Miller, and his maternal grandparents, Cotton and Mary Brulisauer, and paternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Miller.
Deklan had a passion for baseball that began in his early years of playing in Rose Capital West Little League and extended throughout his life into his love for the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. He loved all sports and was an avid fantasy baseball and fantasy football player. He loved taking care of his cherished pups, Piper and Charlie. He loved Mexican food, especially El Charro. Deklan had a sense of humor that was unmatched; you could always count on him to make you smile. His ability to make others laugh was one of his most cherished traits, a gift he shared freely. He was the true definition of “life of the party”.
To honor Deklan, we invite you to a celebration of his life on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 2 - 4 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, located at 1011 East First Street in Tyler, Texas.
