Dawn and family,
We were so sad to hear about Darrel and so unexpected.   You are in our thoughts and prayers. God is always with us in the valleys and the mountain tops.   Lean on him I know he will carry you through.  We as Christians find peace knowing Darrel is in his presence.   We love you

I've known Derral and Dawn since I was 12 yrs old.  They have been married their entire adult lives to each other.  I met them when Jackie was just a tiny thing and I remember holding Wesley and Makayla after they were born.  Wow how they grew up so fast. And Derral grew up with them.  He became a soft-hearted pushover......a dad, husband, grandfather.  They all had him wrapped around his little fingers, including Dawn. Derral and Dawn are the epitome of "Soul-mates".  Where one was, the other was not far away.  They were two peas in a pod.  They knew what each other was thinking, what the other liked and disliked, what they could or could not "talk the other in to doing or buying". Derral loved Dawn and his children and grandchildren more than life itself.  You could see it in his eyes anytime he looked at them (especially at Dawn), or if you asked him about them, or asked him what plans he had for them during school breaks or for the summer.  He was an amazing person.  He was typically very quiet and tended to stay in the background at family gatherings just watching what was going on and listening to the chatter.  Every now and then you would catch him smiling, or you would hear him chuckle at a conversation others were having that sparked a memory.  He also never missed an opportunity to pick on whoever walked by him.  He was a quiet man, but he was humble, honest, faithful, good-tempered, loving, and kind.  Derral, it is definitely not the same world without you physically in it.  You are already terribly missed.  Just know your kids and grandkids will hold Dawn tight for you.  They will help her smile when she doesn't think she can any more.  They will remind her how much you love her.  They are the rock and the support system you left to carry on with her.  God has opened his gates for a great person.  Give your mom & dad big hugs from us. Until we meet again.....Amen.

Derral, how am I going to go on without you. You were my everything,  my rock, my best friend. This isn't real. It's a terrible,  terrible dream. 44 wonderful years, wouldn't change a thing, except hold you longer, alittle tighter, and remind you that I love you always and forever.

He was a good man and I considered him my brother. He will be missed. Darrell was a straightforward man, If he liked you, he would do anything for you. And if he didn’t like you, he would let you know.

I love this memory where we went to the boulders and i went to go fishing and It was a big fish! But I really love this day And I miss you.
