Diedra Danielle Green

A time of visitation for Diedra Danielle Green will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E. 1st St, Tyler, Texas. A Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM , Lloyd James Funeral Home. A committal service will follow services at Mt. Zion Cemetery Hwy 346 Tyler, Tyler, TX.

Diedra Danielle (Thompson) Green, 62, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 10, 1963, in Tyler, Texas, to Richard and Naomi Thompson.

Diedra’s greatest joy in life was her devotion to her family. Throughout her illness, she demonstrated remarkable strength and selflessness, caring for both her mother and father. Her loving nature touched everyone who knew her, as she consistently put others before herself, especially her beloved children. Diedra was a woman of faith who loved Jesus deeply, and she cherished her family, friends, and her cat, Boo.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Lane; her stepfather, William Lane Sr.; and her sister, Mica Thompson. Diedra is survived by her loving husband, Loyd Green; her father, Richard Thompson; her daughter, Randa Boaz; her stepdaughter, Tiara Overton; her son, Joshua Boaz and his wife, Taylor; her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Cantwell, Lincoln, Remy, Bellani, and Swayze Boaz, and Teagan, Ryan, and Emma Overton; her stepbrother, William Lane Jr.; her in-laws, Betty Phillips, Mark Green, and David and Vivian Green; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Boaz, Robert Cobb, Melvin Evans, Noel Macias, Brandon Welch, and John Pryor. Honorary pallbearer are Danny Collins and Stephen Kimes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Diedra’s memory.

Diedra will be remembered for her unwavering love, her generous spirit, and her dedication to those she held dear. Her legacy of compassion and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
