

Dolores was born in Abilene on May 3, 1939 to the late Stella and L.M. Scroggins. She married Franklin L. Cobb on August 31, 1957, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her only sister, Sarah Scroggins Anderson, in 2008.
She graduated from The East Texas School of Nursing and retired from Trinity Mother Frances Hospital where she was a Neonatal Registered Nurse for almost 30 years. She had a strong love of God and was a long standing member of First Presbyterian Church of Tyler. One of her greatest loves was her animals. Dolores owned a number of cats and raised a large variety of babies for Caldwell Children's Zoo throughout the years. She lived in Tyler for the past 54 years.
Dolores led a life of devotion to her family, friends and pets. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and giving spirit. Dolores is survived by two daughters; Lynda and (Skip) Womack of Tyler, Vickie and (Laren) Craig of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Shelton Womack of Tyler and Malory Dean and husband Jake of Coffeyville, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Joe Anderson of League City; a niece, nephew, three great-nieces and one great-nephew. She will also be remembered by her dear friend Argentina Giraldo who lovingly cared for her for 26 years.
An interment service will be held in Lubbock at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
