Graveside Services for Edward W. Mortenson, 73, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Deacon Bill Necessary officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home..
Mr. Mortenson passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born June 6, 1937 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Edward and Viola Leach Mortenson. After growing up in Rhode Island, he joined the Army, serving in Korea. He retired from the Army a disabled veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Willa Mortenson of Tyler, daughters Teresa Goodrich and Sherry Goodrich and son Christopher Goodrich, all of Tyler, and two grandchildren, Crystal Lynne Goodrich of Shreveport, LA, and Anthony Davis Goodrich of Tyler.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
