It’s been said that the accomplishments in a person’s life are measured by worldly possessions and material luxuries. It isn’t often that people exist to actively and spiritually assist others in every possible way. To lead and direct them toward inner peace and instill the confidence needed to face any of life’s trials and tribulations. These were the cornerstones of a legacy forged in faith and love alone, a shining example of the person we all strive to be. Lives touched by words and scripture were merely the everyday occurrences that could be expected through conversation and guidance from this kindred soul, and the spirit of her knowledge will certainly dwell in us all, as we live on in her absence.
Funeral services for Essie Nation Burch are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. John Beard and Brother Fred Smith officiating, Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park.
