Services for Eugene will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 422 Magnolia St., Palestine, at 2:00pm, officiated by Alex Lupo. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, preceding the funeral service. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Park in Palestine.
Mr. Getzendanner was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Palestine. He served in WWII in the 82nd Airborne.
He is survived by his wife Eunice Getzendanner, his son Mike Getzendanner, his daughter Janell Brawner. He is also survived by his sister, Irene Widmer, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Clara Smith and his brother Roy Getzendanner.
