

Frances Velma Hale, 93, went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life on Wednesday, March 1, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Buren Woodrow Hale.
Graveside services for Frances Velma Hale of Fort Worth are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Rev. Richard Luna officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 8-11 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 before the service.

She was born February 10, 1919 in Shelbyville, TX to James Henry and Hester Bradberry. She married the love of her life, Buren Woodrow Hale, on September 26, 1940.
Frances was a loving and faithful woman of faith. She took much pleasure and great pride in making loving homes wherever she lived while following her husband’s nearly 50 year career with Sinclair/ARCO oil companies in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Alaska, and Venezuela. After living in many not so picturesque places, she was finally able to return to the part of the world that she loved best. Buren and Frances retired to Tyler, Texas and spent 16 years serving their Lord in their community and Pollard United Methodist Church.
Frances spent the last eight years of her life saying “the long goodbye” while living at Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Fort Worth where she was beloved.
Survivors include sister, Billie Jean Scott of Dallas, TX; Daughter, Judy Jackson and husband, Rick of Mineral Wells, TX; grandson, Russ Grant and wife, Suzanne; great-grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Grant, all of Bluffdale, TX.
