

Glenda Jean Bushman was born April 6, 1942 in Knox City, Texas to Dave and Jewell (Russell) Walker. She was the youngest child, with an older sister Doris Lee, and brothers Mondell Howard “Boo”, Donald Dean and Joe David.
She graduated from Carlsbad, New Mexico High School, where she began several friendships that lasted 65 plus years. After living in Dallas for several years, she returned to Carlsbad and began a career with the schools. Her last position was business administration for the Loving, New Mexico school district.
Glenda married Robert Bushman in Carlsbad on March 30, 1991. Following his death in 2019, she moved to Lindale, Texas, outside of Tyler.
Glenda was known for many things, including amazing cooking and being able to beat anyone at horseshoes and cornhole. But above all else, she was known for her love of family and her ability to make friends everywhere.
She is survived by her two sons, Vernon Neely (wife, Karla) and David Neely (wife, Olga); two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Neely; beloved companion Bella; and many nieces, nephews, and their descendants.
Services are planned for Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E. First St, Tyler, TX 75701.
