

Glenn was born in Harlingen, Texas, on March 16, 1924, to Charles David and Claudia Hudson Bolzle. Upon graduation from Harlingen High School in 1942, he was employed by Valley Baking Company.
On February 15, 1943, Glenn volunteered for service in World War II and was assigned to the United States Army Air Force He served as a cryptographer in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in New Guinea and the Philippines. He participated in the invasion of Mindanao and earned a number of decorations and citations, including The American Theater Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Meritorius Unit Award and The World War II Victory Medal. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged from the service at Camp Fannin, at Tyler Texas, on January 19, 1946.
On December 22, 1946, Glenn married the love of his life, Rita Eilene Myszkowska, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Glenn is a graduate of A & I University in Kingsville, Texas (Now Texas A & MKingsville) with a Batchelor of Business Degree in Accounting and Economics.
Glenn working for Amoco Production Company as an Accountant in the Controller's Department of the Houston Division Office. He was later transferred to the Information Services Department in Tulsa, OK and had worldwide responsibility for maintaining the company's policies and procedures manuals. He was later transferred to the Corporate Headquarters in Chicago where he retired in 1984 with 34 years of service. He and Rita moved to Tyler, Texas in August, 1988..
Glenn was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and a dedicated worker. He served two terms as an officer on the church council and chairman of a number of committees. He served in similar positions at churches in Houston, Tulsa and Chicago. Glenn enjoyed writing and authored a number of church pamphlets, including « Martin Luther, A Brief Biography", A Worship Server's Guide", and «An Information Guide for New Members".
During his retirement, Glenn enjoyed researching his family history and traced it back to the early 1500s in Germany. He also enjoyed volunteering as a Tyler Ambassador for the Tyler Convention and Visitors Bureau, from 1995 to 2000, and served as president of the organization for two years. While serving as an ambassador, Glenn wrote a booklet titled "A Brief History and Walking Tour of the Tyler Rose Garden", which was distributed to visitors during the annual Rose Festivals.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
He is survived by Rita, his wife of 63 years; two sons and their families: Bruce Bolzle and his wife, Nancy, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their sons, Jonathan, Seth, and his wife Cody and daughter Liza and Aaron; Gregory and his wife, Camille, and daughter, Alexandra of Louisville, Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews and their families. Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 20th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 4900 Kinsey Dr.,Tyler, with Rev. Mark Braaten officiating. Glenn will be buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 19th, from 6-8 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
