Harold D. Barnett, age 88, of Bullard, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Frankston Healthcare Center in Frankston. He was born on July 26, 1923 in Snider, Texas to Clarence Butler and Arka Lee (Stroud) Barnett; they preceded him in death. Harold owned a wrecking yard for 25 years and then became a home builder where he worked another 25 years. Those who knew him will remember his work ethic and drive to always provide for his beloved family. Harold was a member of the Church of God.
Harold is survived by one daughter, Patricia Gastineau, and husband Gail, of Bullard, and by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Louise Cotter, and one grandson, Jeff Gastineau.
Graveside services for Mr. Barnett will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler. A visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
