Helen Bell Langston Langston Keith

She was born August 7, 1924, to the late Harvey and Thelma Clark Bell. Helen attended Troup schools and Tyler Commercial College. She worked at Troup First National Bank then, after moving to Tyler, worked over 25 years for Dr. William Burch, M.D. and Dr. Vernon Goss, M.D. She retired in 1973.

Helen was an active member at First Baptist Tyler, where she was involved with Senior Adult ministries and the Friendship Choir until she moved to Dallas in 2009 to be closer to her children. Helen enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, needlework, reading and her beloved family.

Helen is preceded in death by two husbands, John T. Langston and E. Wayne Keith, both of Tyler; also, her sister, Varena Bell Balfour Seale and her brother, Richard Bell.

She is survived by five children: Cheryl Langston Sanders, John Langston, Linda Langston Smith, Kelly Keith Brown and Kraig Keith; seven grandchildren: Brien and Brent Sanders, John Stephen and Justin Langston, Chad, Brad and Blair Smith; six great-grandchildren: Logan Sanders, Bailey, Holly and Abigail Langston, Caison and Camryn Smith; also her sister, Betty Holloway of Austin and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Helen will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, 1011 East First Street. Reception and light lunch 11:30-12:45. Service will begin at 1:00 with interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Troup, Texas.
