Herschel attended Chapel Hill Schools in Tyler, Tx. He was a commercial insulator at Quality Insulation until he partnered with K & W Sheet Metal continuing his own business as a commercial insulator and later retired after 43 years. Herschel loved to garden and always enjoyed family gatherings. He married Charlotte on Friday, September 22, 1961. He was a loving husband, father, papa, and great papa.
Herschel is survived by his wife, Charlotte of 60 years; daughter Tara and husband Leigh; son Brannon and wife Jeanie; son Jason and wife Marie; grandchildren Travis and wife Ashley, Leandra and husband Greg, Tiffany and fiancé Dale, Kailey and husband Casey, Brett, Macy and fiancé Austin, Brody and 10 great grandchildren; brother Wilburn Wade; sisters Wanda Germany and Jackie Pritchard and husband Danny, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Herschel was preceded in death by his parents, brother Delton Wade and grandson Trey Bernholtz.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Saali officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to services.
