Sylvia Jeanne Colman Rozelle, 79, of Tyler passed away July 16. A Rosary is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Lloyd James Funeral Home. A Requiem Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church with the Very Rev. Hank Lanik officiating. A private interment will take place at Shiloh Cemetery in Alto. Sylvia Jeanne Colman was born December 1, 1940, in Palestine to Walter James Colman and Gladys Yoder Colman. She graduated from Palestine High School and Tyler Junior College, and she performed multiple seasons as a flutist with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra of Tyler. Jeanne had been an active member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church for close to 60 years and was a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She served her entire career at Regions Bank, originally Citizens First National Bank, in Tyler, and volunteered at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Marvin Donovan "Don" Rozelle, her parents, and her brother, Charles Colman Sr. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Ellen and Kenneth Reynolds of Bullard and Donna and David Puckett of Troup; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Heather Rozelle of Mt. Selman; grandchildren Stephanie Webster and Alex Rozelle of Leesville, Louisiana; Whitney Rozelle of Tyler; Michaella Rozelle, Lauren Rozelle and Davin Rozelle, all of Mt. Selman; Hayden Reynolds of Bullard; Dalton Puckett and Danielle Puckett of Troup; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Martha and Dudley McKamie of Whitehouse; Kay and Fred Bates of Tyler; Anne and Steve Sager of Corinth; and 15 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation or to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the caretakers and staff of the Health Center at Meadow Lake.
