Graveside services for Jewel B. Sparkman, 92, of Tyler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with the Rev. Pike Wisner officiating under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Ms. Sparkman passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Kilgore.
She was born on June 5, 1923 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Virgil Houston and Maggie Louise Noble Sparkman. She retired after approximately 35 years with the Texas Highway Department and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Bowen; brother Houston Sparkman, and half sister, Archie Bell Jones.
She is survived by her sister Norma Ware; niece, Cookie Ware Gauntt; nephews, George Ware, Donald Sparkman and Jerry Sparkman and wife Jaynee; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
