Joe Charnel Reider

Joe Charnel Reider, age 86, passed on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was born December 5, 1935 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. In 1965 he married his sweetheart, Marion Joyce King, whom he adored. They had two children Joe Paul Reider & Angela Kaye Reider. Joe is survived by his brothers; James Reider and Edward Reider; Sister, Belle Leggette along with nieces & nephews.

Joe loved his gardening and the farm equipment that was a part of that. He loved tending to his fields and watching his gardens grow. He worked hard manual labor to provide for his family and he was very proud of that. Even after a hard day’s work he would come home and go outside and tend to his fields. The vegetables that didn’t wind up on the family’s dinner table would be sold at a farmer’s market for extra money. He was always willing to help others-and he did just that, often. Whether it was giving them some of his vegetables from his garden or helping them with something around their house.

Services for Joe will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery.

Family requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
