Jonathan Lindsey LeBleu, 88, departed peacefully in the company of his family at his home in Tyler, TX on October 25, 2020. He was born November 8, 1931, in Houston, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from 1951-1954 and graduated from University of Texas where he also earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.). He practiced law for over thirty years and then retired to Tyler, TX.
A beloved father and cheerleader for his three daughters, he will be greatly missed. He always had a love for gardening which he passed on to his daughters and shared through his volunteer service with the Smith County Master Gardeners. He served with the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Team and the Angel Tree Program for many years.
Through it all, he never lost his sense of optimism or his joyful spirit.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Carol Ann LeBleu; his three daughters, Lindsay C. Thomeer and husband Joe of Nashville, TN, Camille Crow Edwards and husband Tim of Richmond, TX, and Michelle J. LeBleu and her partner Rhiana Shumate of Silver Springs, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Robert Steven Crow IV, and Amanda Claire Crow of Richmond, TX, his brother, Maurice LeBleu of Brenham, TX, his sister, Betsy LeBleu Curry and her husband (Dr.) John of Fairfax, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held. Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, TX, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support The Salvation Army, 633 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX 75702 or to The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701.
