Joseph (Joe) Lee Carter born May 13, 1928 to Virginia Maude and Thomas Clyde Carter in Petersburg, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday the 5th of December, 2018.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Grace and daughter Linda Grace Carter Rigsby. He is survived by his two daughters Joette Lee Carter from Alabama and Crystal Jones and husband Johnny Butler from Texas and his two dogs Babe and Star.

He served for a short time in the Army. He worked for over 30 years for Dallas Transit System. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and casinos. Joe also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday the 11th of December at 2:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, followed by burial at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
