Kaitlyn Breanna Moore

Kaitlyn was born on July 5, 1996 to Kelly and Nikki Mayfield in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kaitlyn graduated from Athens High School in 2014 where she met her husband, Damion Moore. Damion and Kaitlyn were married on June 29, 2019 and are dog parents to Deuce and Ana.

Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her Angel baby, grandfather Jimmy Mitchell, cousin Kristie Mitchell, and uncle Kris Mayfield. She is survived by her husband Damion Moore, her parents Kelly Mayfield and Nikki Mayfield as well as her mother’s partner Joey Sion. Her siblings Kara Hale and Kris Mayfield, her mother-in-law Julie Cushenbery, brother-in-law Devon Morrow and sister-in-law Kierra Hicks. Her niece Marylynn Hale. Her grandparents Brenda Mitchell and Kenneth and Karen Mayfield. Her aunts and uncles David and Kim Mitchell, Mindy and Bret Coward, Ken and Ruth Mayfield. Her cousins Danielle Smith, John McClinton, Emily Sciacca, Cody McDaniel, Chance McDaniel, Chris McDaniel, Casey Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell, Kenzie Mitchell, Justin and Catie Mayfield, Dylan Mayfield, and Kristen Mayfield. She is also survived by numerous other family members and many cherished friends.

Kaitlyn was treasured by her family. As a child she loved spending time with her grandparents and loved family trips to the beach. She was her father’s absolute joy. Her mother was her best friend. She was a wonderful sister who looked up to Kara and was protective of Kris. As a young adult she made many cherished friends at school and work that she loved dearly. She was shy by nature but found her voice through her husband Damion Moore whom she adored. His mother, siblings, uncle and grandparents became hers and she cherished time spent with them. She longed for the baby she lost, and her two dogs were her children. Her niece Marylynn brought her so much happiness and her face lit up when she talked about her. She loved her job at Bath and Body Works and made wonderful friends in the short time that she worked there. She will be terribly missed by all.

Visitation will be held Friday July 14, 2023, at Lloyd James Funeral home at 10 A.M. with service being held at 11 A.M. Graveside will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chase Cushenbery, Josh Williams, Brayden Wigington, Devon Morrow, Justin Mayfield and Dylan Mayfield.
