Katherine S. Nichols

Katherine Ann Stevenson Nichols, born May 23,1939 in Mineral Wells, Texas, was the daughter of Glenn Thomas Stevenson and Omega Imogene Bean. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School and attended Secretarial school.

Kathy married Lee R. Nichols on January 2,1959 and soon moved to Friendswood, Texas where Lee was employed by NASA. Kathy adored living in Friendswood, the closeness of the community, and the lifelong friends from the Imperial Estates Subdivision. Kathy worked as a Secretary for the City of Friendswood and after a long career, retired. They retired in Tyler, Texas where Kathy continued to surround herself with lovely and caring friends, who helped her as her health declined.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her three children Rhonda Nichols and husband Mark Brass of St. Augustine, Florida; Amber Nichols Gummelt and husband Gerald Gummelt of Georgetown, Texas; and Kevin Nichols of Conroe, Texas as well as her half-sister Charlotte Williams of Graham, Texas.
