

She was born on October 24, 1937 in Quitman, Louisiana. As natives of Louisiana, she and her husband, Charlie married on June 18, 1956. In 1962, they established Tyler, Texas as their home and together founded Ana-Log, Inc. in 1965. Upon Charlie’s passing in 1999, Katie became president of Ana-Log, Inc. She operated the business very successfully.
Amidst the demands of building their business together, they were blessed to be continually surrounded by many family and friend...entertaining, enjoying Katie’s fabulous meals, hunting, fishing, and gardening at their farm in Louisiana.
She is survived by daughters Saunda Jordan and Karla Jordan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charlie W. Jordan; parents, Charley Eugene Garlington and Mary Elzie (Mobley) Garlington; siblings, Hiram Frank Garlington, Lanis Opal Garlington, Charles Marvin Garlington, Mary Marguerite Harvey, Betty Laverne Henderson, Doris Faye Alexander and Alice Ann Stevenson.

A graveside service to celebrate her life was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Rev. William Hoffman and Bishop Walter Banek officiating, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
