Kyle grew up in Corona, Ca, as the oldest son with an older sister and younger brother. He became the role model for his younger brother and was close friends with his cousins, Anthony, Andrew and Raymond whom he shared many an adventure with.
He graduated from Corona High School in 2011. While in high school he was involved in band and martial arts. After graduation he went to work at a law firm taking depositions and also at an insurance office as a clerk. He volunteered with, and became a member of the board, for the Haunting of Corona, a nonprofit that raised funds for breast cancer. He helped build haunted houses and managed the team of cast volunteers. He loved what he did. He also enjoyed going on ghost hunting expeditions with his dad and uncle, Steve Richards. Kyle’s favorite place to be was with family doing anything they were involved with even if it was just building a fence in the backyard. His favorite times involved sitting around the fire ring in the backyard with his friends shooting the breeze and just plain goofing around.
In 2019 Kyle, along with his family, moved to Texas from California. He took a job at the Lindale Walmart in the sporting goods department. He completely enjoyed helping people and was happy with the responsibilities of the job which included getting his certification to sell guns. He was fond of his co-workers and had wanted to have them over to recreate the bonfire nights he enjoyed with his friends growing up in Corona.
Kyle was a rare soul in an increasingly centric world. He was kind, respectful, and compassionate, generous with his time and energy, thoughtful and always ready to lend a hand to help a friend in need. He was a loyal friend.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Lee Richards and his maternal grandfather, Don Raymond Kelly.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Darcy Richards of Tyler, TX; sister, Kimberly Richards-Mason and husband Christopher and niece MiKayla Richards of Riverside, CA; brother, Michael Richards and wife, Ashley of Tyler, TX, Grandmother Jean E. Kelly of Anaheim, CA; Grandmother Evelyn M. Richards of Hawkins, TX; Uncle Steven Kelly of Anaheim, CA; uncle Michael Kelly and wife Amanda, cousins Destiny and Jonathan of Tomball, TX; aunt Donna J. We have been more fortunate than words can express to have Kyle in our lives. Because of him, we have traded expectations for appreciation and our whole world changed in an instant. It is our sincere wish that he had the same impact on the lives of those he met.
