Lavada passed away Tuesday morning, March 18, 2014 in Gilmer.
She was born on September 23, 1926, in Gilmer, to George N. and Mary L. Jones Shaw.
Lavada was a member of the Central Baptist Church, in Tyler. She had worked for the Tyler Independent School District for 34 years, working in the personnel payroll account office.
She is survived by her special niece and caregiver, Glenda Cox; nieces and nephews, Claudean Smith, Deloris Justice, Charles Muckleroy, Robert Shaw, David Shaw, Linda Bond, Marene Lovelady, Elaine Raines, and Carol Bullock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Euil Driggers; her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
