Leetie Elizabeth Sinclair

Graveside services for Mrs. Leetie Elizabeth Dorsett Sinclair, age 97, are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Oakwood under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home .

Leetie passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 in Tyler.

Leetie was born on March 9, 1914 in Alto to the late Henry Elijah and Nellie Green Cook Dorsett. She married Leon Randolph “Bud” Sinclair in Leon County on November 26, 1932. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, “Bud” and sons, John Henry Sinclair of Bloomington, IN. and Billy Morris Sinclair of San Antonio.

She is survived by sons, Carroll Mart Sinclair and wife, Barbara of Tyler, Keith Sinclair and wife, Betty of Broken Arrow, OK. and James Eldon Sinclair of Sherman, one stepson, Leon Randolph Sinclair, Jr. and wife Nell of Bryan, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Leetie was a share-cropper’s wife until her husband’s death in 1955. After that she spent one year in Jacksonville, then 44 years in Bryan where she finished raising her 5 sons. She resided in Tyler since 2000.
