

Services for Luther “Cotton” Green, 65, of Whitehouse are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2011 at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel. Burial is in Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mr. Green passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011 in Tyler.
He was born on September 29, 1945 in Nacogdoches to the late Luther and Jewel Green. He was a graduate of LeTourneau College. He was the owner and operator of Cotton Green Welding and Fabricating business. He was a member of Atoy Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #785 in Bullard and the American Quarter Horse Association. He has lived in Whitehouse since 1983
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Green; sisters, Eula Gunter and Elsie Reynolds and daughter, Tamara “Tamy” Green-Wilson.
He is survived by daughters and son-in law, Cheryl and Steve Tonjes of Tyler and Leah DeVries of Farmington, MN; “ just like a son”, Eddie Ray Fleming; grandchildren, Stephanie Tonjes of Tyler, Ashton Wilson Lancaster and husband Randy of Tyler, Adam Wilson of Tyler, Clayton DeVries, Jennifer DeVries and Rachael DeVries all of Farmington, MN; great grandchildren, Jaden and Sheybre Lancaster and Jaiden and Taylor Lancaster all of Tyler; sisters, Edna Meseke and Mary Sue Dempsey and husband David and special friend, Judy Godwin.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
