

During her childhood, Lynda had the unique opportunity to live in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon while her father worked overseas. Eventually, she returned to Tyler, Texas, where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.
On July 6, 1963, Lynda married the love of her life, Freddie L. Phillips, in Tyler, Texas. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and lifelong friendships.
Lynda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Scott E. Phillips and wife, Carla, of Arp, Texas; Wm. Lance Phillips and wife, Cindy, of Arp, Texas; and Bart L. Phillips of Arp, Texas.
She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Colton B. Phillips, Taylor R. Phillips, and Dakota R. Phillips, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Parker Phillips, Beau Phillips, Easton Phillips, and Drake Krebs.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Joseph Wright, Jr. and Mary Edith Hendley Wright, and her grandson, Jordan P. Gaiser.
Lynda found great joy in antique shopping, preparing wonderful meals for those she loved, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She was known as an excellent cook whose home was always welcoming, and she treasured every opportunity to gather with those she loved most.
Lynda's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a family who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
A Graveside Service will be held at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery, 12053 State Highway 64 West, in Tyler with Bro. Max Burch officiating, on July 17, 2026, at 10:00 am.
