Mae Dean Harter

Funeral Services for Mae Dean Harter, 97, of Tyler are scheduled for Thursday May 12, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Anthony Sisemore officiating at The Woods Baptist Church. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be in Wingate Cemetery in Wingate under the direction of Winters Funeral Home.

Mae Dean passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Tyler.

She was born on July 24, 1918 in Comanche to the late Richard Dean and Lois Brinson Collins. Mae Dean and her late husband, Troy, taught Youth Bible Classes for many years. She liked to do crossword puzzles and took care of her large family.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Rodgers (Dennis) and Gary Harter (Birdie); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Troy Harter; parents; granddaughter Denise Rodgers Smith; brothers, Aldridge and Weldon Collins.
