Margret R. Richardson (née Cannon), age 83, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Tyler, Texas—the city where she was born on October 10, 1942. Her life was filled with love, resilience, and a deep devotion to family.
Margret shared a cherished marriage with her beloved husband, Edward Richardson, who preceded her in passing. Together, they created countless joyful memories, including their shared passion for motorcycle rides that symbolized their adventurous spirit and enduring bond.
She was a proud and loving mother to Kimberly Richardson France and her husband Pat France, and to her son Rollie Richardson. Margret also embraced the role of stepmother to Eddie Richardson and his wife Cheryl Richardson. Her joy multiplied as she became a grandmother to Jonathan France and his wife Jessica France, and a great-grandmother to Liam France and Remington France. Whether visiting in person or connecting over video calls, Margret treasured every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is fondly remembered by her sisters Glenda Weaver and Karen Hanson, along with Karen’s husband Dean Hanson. Margret also held close the memory of her late siblings: Velma Lee “Sister” Atkins, Rollie Cannon Jr., Donald Eugene Cannon, Wanda June “Mama June” Vaughan, and Lois Mae Humphries. Her parents, Rollie “Pa” Cannon and Maudie “Mungy” Cannon, instilled in her the values that shaped a life full of warmth and dedication.
Margret’s kindness touched many, including numerous nieces and nephews. She also shared a lifelong friendship with Arlean Bordelon, whose memory remained dear to her heart.
A Graveside Service will be held on November 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mount Zion Cemetery on Highway 346.
