

Mark Thomas Chapman was born June 2, 1959 in Wichita, KA, to parents, Sue Hauk Chapman and Robert Peyton Chapman. He was a member of First Christian Church, attended Moore Jr. High, Robert E. Lee High School and Tyler Jr. College where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and made many lifelong friends.
Mark became a a Life Insurance Agent at the age of 18 and continued to serve his clients until the end of his life. He loved his clients and they loved him.
He was a kind, loyal and gentle man who was loved dearly by all off his family as well as a loving husband and devoted father, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family and golfing whenever possible.
Mark was called home by the Lord on October 12, 2025 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue H. Chapman; his father, Robert P. Chapman; infant brother, Kelly Carlisle Chapman; cousin Jay Hauk Miller; grandparents; and aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lori Wakefield Chapman; his son, Spencer Thomas Chapman of whom he was so proud; sisters, Stacey Harrison (Frank), Leslie Pierce (Rodney), Peyton Pollacia (Tony) and brother, Page Chapman (Bridget) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Jack Chapman, Robert (Ace) Gallop, John Charles, Hauk, Stuart (Tommy) Hauk, Rodney Pierce and Tony Pollacia.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to The American Cancer Society, The Epilepsy Foundation or The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
