Graveside Services for Martha Cooke Bronaugh, 102, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday May 16, 2020 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.

Martha passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 12, 2020. She was born June 19, 1917 in Denison, Texas to Guy Cooke and Myrtle Haralson Cooke. She attended Denison schools and graduated with distinction in 1934. She went on to Texas Women's University in Denton.

Martha married the love of her life, Frank Edward Bronaugh on Sept 25, 1938 and they remained married until his death in 1997. She was a devoted mother to three sons who remember her loving kindness and her insistence upon accomplishing something each and every day. For 70 years she was an active member of Marvin Methodist Church where she frequently taught Sunday School.

Martha was a passionate and accomplished seamstress and made a career out of her passion. She created many gowns for the Rose Festival including numerous Queen's gowns. She loved her grandchildren and developed very strong bonds with all six of them.

She is survived by her three sons: David Bronaugh (wife Nancy), John Bronaugh, and Charles Bronaugh (wife Vickie). Grandchildren: Dinah Paciocco, Michelle Herrington, Darren Bronaugh, Sean Bronaugh, Mary Bronaugh, Ruby Bronaugh. Martha also enjoyed her 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Bronaugh and her grandson, Sean Bronaugh.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday May 15, at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel in Tyler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Marvin Methodist Church, 300 W. Ervin St, Tyler, Texas 75702 or a charity of your choice.
