She had four siblings, Anne, Sue, Jerry and Larry (Bubba). Jerry is the only living of the five. Many of her friends knew her as Mary, however she was always referred to by family as Angie. She has one child, Steve Hicks.
She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and had three years at the University of Houston. She retired after many years as an accountant for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Houston. After retirement she moved to Tyler. She loved to crochet and had many friends.
There will be a Graveside service for Mrs. Hicks on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Starrville Cemetery, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
