Mary Maxine Davis Kennedy

Graveside services for Maxine Kennedy, 94, of Whitehouse are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 17, 2013 at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana, under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Maxine passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Tyler.

She was born on October 3, 1918 in Ringgold, Louisiana, to the late Henry Martin & Jeffer McGraw Davis. She was a retired school teacher having taught for 30 years in Shreveport, Louisiana. She moved to Whitehouse in 1976. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was in the Grace Class.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Attaway, of Whitehouse; granddaughter, Tina Todd and her husband, Joe of Whitehouse; great grandson, Brannon Mattox of Whitehouse; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Rex Kennedy; granddaughter, Tamera Mattox; two brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
