Mike was my brother-in-law... married to my sister Lana for 40 years until she died 3 years ago. He was a great guy and we will miss him so much. Mike loved sports, especially baseball and his beloved Cubs, just like his Mom. Although I never saw him, Mike , I know, used to play golf and I bet he was good. I'll have to ask Bernie about that.

My hope is that he and Lana are now dancing in heaven surrounded by their loving dogs.

Michael was always a good friend. I remember him sitting out at the center line of the basket ball court and shooting half court shots and I remember having an arm wrestling competition with him lying down on the stage and both of us working so hard we started to shake and then laugh. He and Lana are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike was so very special to me. He was a good friend to everyone who knew him at the Hamptons. I always enjoyed looking at his beautiful zinnias that he helped take care of in our courtyard. It was always a joy to see him with Annie in the hallways. We had a special bond and he always said the nicest things to me. I loved surprising him by bringing him his favorite Vanilla Blue Bell Ice cream. We also loved to talk about our midwestern heritage and the Minnesota Twins.

One memory I’ll never forget is when I came into work one Monday morning after being out for the weekend. I was talking to him at breakfast and he said, “Sara, things are always better when you are here. You just make everything better” He was always making others feel so good about themselves. I will miss him dearly!!!

Come next spring Mike will be watching his beloved Cubs from on high. He always had a smile on his face no matter what. Mike and Lana , before him, were always a joy to visit with when they came to my dental office. Not handicapped, just an inconvenience.
