Ocie Glenn Wintters

Memorial services for Ocie Glenn “Sonny” Wintters, 76, of Red Springs are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Red Springs Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Mr. Wintters passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Edom, Texas.

He was born on July 13, 1939 in the Red Springs Community of Smith County to the late Ocie William and Roxy M. Stuart Wintters. He was an active member of the Red Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was past Master of Starr Masonic Lodge #118. His wife and family were his greatest passion. He was retired from the auto salvage business.

He is survived by daughter, Rebecca Anne Wintters of Red Springs; son, Joshua Wintters and wife Ashley of Edom; and grandchildren, Garrett Ocie Wintters, Allyssa Jeannette Wintters and Elliott James Wintters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Annette Louise Wintters.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing and Staff at U.T. Health Center Northeast and the Heart to Heart Hospice for the care of their father.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
