Rafael Bartolo Retano

Rafael Bartolo Retano, 62, of Tyler passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 27, 2023. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by a graveside goodbye at Evergreen Memorial Park in Tyler.

Rafael is survived by his devoted wife Laura Retano of Tyler; five sons, Rafael Retano Jr., Juan Retano, Ricardo Retano, Andres Retano, and Edgar Javier Vigil Olivera; two daughters, Laura Sandoval and Rosario Retano; three granddaughters, Alexis, Isabella, and Raiza; four grandsons, Ivan, Joel, Ricardo Jr., and Edgar; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rafael Retano Jr., Ricardo Retano, Ivan Sandoval, Manuel Prieto, Eduardo Prieto, and Gabriel Prieto.

Rafael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
