

Ralph attended School in Austin, Corpus Christi and Tyler, Texas for Special needs students. One of his favorite adventures during the Summer was to attend the Soroptimist Day Camp at Fun Forrest Park. He had many friends, campers and counselors alike. He was employed with Opportunities In Tyler for over twenty years, a sheltered workshop that provided challenged individuals with a means to work and have an income.
Ralph Speas was a wonderful son, an amazing Brother, friend and “A True Blue Cowboy fan”. He always had a smile, a twinkle in his eye and a laugh that was contagious.
He survived by his sisters, Paula Butler and husband Holley, Christine Hicks and husband Wayne, Reba Hill and husband Randy, Renee’ Speas and husband Adam Schecher. Nieces and Nephews Jeremy Wilson, Jay Butler, Myranda Sanders, William Hill, Joshua Hill, Molly Ramirez, Alysia Wilson and Preston Hill: along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents William John Speas, Jr. and Mary Smith Speas; his brothers William John Speas, III and David James Speas.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wilson, Jay Butler, William Hill, Joshua Hill, Preston Hill, David Sanders, and Esteban Ramirez.

A visitation will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler, TX 757013308, US, on March 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at Lloyd James Funeral Home on March 19, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Final resting place will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.
