Graveside services for Richard Lee “Rick” Arent, 69, of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Tom Crawford officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Rick passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, in Tyler.
He was born on March 5, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, to the late Evelyn Lilas Pickett. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired recruiter. His family was the most important thing in his life.
Rick is survived by his wife, Teresa Arent, of Tyler; son, Shawn Arent, of Palestine; daughters, Jessica Schochler, of Van, and Jennifer Cockrell, of Montgomery, Alabama. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Tommie Reasoner, of Tyler; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and David Orr, of Tyler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Vicki Reasoner, of Tyler; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
