

We celebrate the life of Ricky L. Skinner, 65 of Tyler, who was born December 3, 1955 in Jacksonville, the only son of five children to the late Jack Lavon Skinner and Bennie Ruth Foreman Skinner. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, “The Lord’s Day” March 14, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.
Ricky grew up in the East Texas area, and was a graduate of John Tyler High School in 1974. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. Ricky worked in the manufacturing industry, and off and on as a security guard in the Tyler Area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bennie Skinner; a sister, Jackie Murray of Whitehouse and his grandparents.
He is survived by three sisters, Vickie Meazelle of Tyler, Cherri Richardson and husband, Glenn and Lou Nell Norman and husband, Jim Norman of Whitehouse. Also survived by 10 nieces and 1 nephew, and a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews and was loved by all.
A service to celebrate Ricky’s life will held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Norman officiating. Burial will be at Whitehouse Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services in the chapel.
