

Ruby Lou (Patterson) Breckenridge, 92, was born March 23, 1922 in Ferris, Texas and passed away on February 11, 2015 at The Atria Willow Park in Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Breckenridge grew up in the Edom area and moved to Tyler after graduation from Van High School. After her marriage to Frank in 1943 they lived in Tyler and then, in 1951, they moved to Midland where he was the founder and senior partner in the accounting firm of Breckenridge & Company. They raised their two boys in Midland and upon his retirement they returned to Tyler in the late nineties.
Mrs. Breckenridge loved volunteering for Hospice of East Texas, playing Mahjong with her friends at Emerald Bay, and attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Jacksonville and in later years was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Gibson Breckenridge II, and her son Bruce Hall Breckenridge, of Waller, Texas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank Gibson Breckenridge III and The Reverend Elaine Howlett Breckenridge, and their sons William Howlett Breckenridge of Spokane, WA, and Mark Edward Frank Breckenridge of Lynnwood, WA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, three of whom cared for her during her final years: Barbara Broughton Ellis of Chandler, Susan Foster Montgomery of Tyler, and Nancy Foster Braswell of Troup.
The family would like to offer its sincere thanks to the staff at Atria Willow Park and especially to her two special care givers Goldie GoVan and Virginia Henderson of Home Aid Caregivers.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler under the direction of Lloyd James with the
service performed by her daughter-in-law, The Reverend Elaine Breckenridge.
