She was born on August 3rd, 1960 to Mary Jo Lavender and Glenn Hamilton. Throughout her life, she carried a strength and genuine kindness that touched everyone she met.
Susan held many management positions throughout her career, but she found special joy in her time working for Starbucks at the college campus. She was a bright spot in so many students’ days — always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a much-needed caffeinated beverage.
After leaving work due to disability, Susan embraced life’s simple pleasures. Her mornings often started slow with a coffee, coloring on her favorite phone app, or watching a good spiritual movie - or the occasional Lifetime film.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Lingberg; her children, David Lingberg and Sarah Lingberg; her siblings, Teresa Brumley (and husband Jim), Michael Morgan (and wife Jana), and Carolyn Simoneaux; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jo Lavender and Glenn Hamilton. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life for Susan will be held Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home. There is no doubt in our mind that her spirit is shining as warmly in Heaven as it did here on Earth.
