

Reverend Victor David Willmann went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 21, 2017. Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, 5-7 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Hunter St. Tyler, Texas. Interment will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11am in Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pamela, his sons and their families; Mark Willmann, Ted and Kelley Willmann, Steve and Tamara Willmann, and his step-daughter and her family; Mercedes and Sean Smith. Victor cherished his ten grandchildren: Dakota and Sky Willmann; Regan, Reece, and Rhett Willmann; Sarah and Anna Willmann; and Margot, Stefan, and Galen Smith. He is also survived by his siblings Roger Willmann and wife, Edna; Larry Willmann and wife, Beth; Judy Lent and husband, Dale; and numerous nieces and nephews

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Stanley Willmann, and an infant son.
Victor was born on November 13, 1944 in Seguin to Roland and Annabell Willmann. He and his siblings grew up on a rural farm outside of Kingsbury, where they raised grand champion Poland China hogs.
Victor was ordained as a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod pastor in 1971 and served congregations in South Dakota, Florida, and Texas, and planted churches throughout the United States and Canada. In 2001, Victor was called to Trinity Lutheran Church until he retired in 2007 and began his ministry with Hospice of East Texas. Victor faithfully served the lord for 47 years until he was called home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of East Texas or the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir.
