Mrs. Harris was born on February 3, 1925, in Port Arthur, TX to Margaret and Emmanuel Lena. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church, enjoyed collecting country antiques, and had a keen interest in home decorating.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Benton; parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Virginia is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Mary Jo Griggs and husband Dan of Austin; sons, Benton Harris Jr. and wife Lynn of Tyler, and Christopher Harris and wife Jane of Houston; grandchildren, Stacie Keeble, Kristin Harris, Courtney Rutledge, Jordan Harris, Darin Hallam and Adam Harris; great-grandchildren Brittany Keeble, Kinsey Hallam, Taggart Hallam, Cord Hallam, and Topher Hallam.
