

William Glyne Frizzell, age 79, of Tyler, joined his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2013 and to see his beloved Daddy. Glyne was born on August 8, 1933 in Tyler to William Arthur and Mattie Lorene Gaiser Frizzell; they preceded him in death. Glyne graduated from John Tyler High School in 1952 and then attended and graduated from Tyler Junior College all while working with his father at W. Arthur Frizzell Plumbing Company. Glyne was a Master Plumber and carried on the family business after his Daddy’s passing, until his illness required him to close the business. Plumbing was Glyne’s great joy and he never turned away from the work. Glyne was humbled by the 65 years of dedicated service he provided to his friends and loyal customers in and around Tyler. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family especially the countless hours he spent with his precious sister sharing memories and making their own. Glyne enjoyed watching old black and white westerns, listening to Christian music, reading and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Glyne is survived by his sister, Betty Hodges of Tyler; nieces and nephews, Holly Welmaker, and husband Charlie, Mandi Graham, and husband Derrin, Jonathan Allen, and wife Rebekha, and by Kim Allen; beloved cocker spaniel , Booty; and by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and special friends.
He was also preceded by sisters Wanda Sirman and Carole Allen.
Services for Mr. Frizzell will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Deville officiating. Graveside will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Charlie Welmaker, Jonathan Allen, Tom Lyles, Jerry Powell, Dr. Randy Murff, and Ronnie Hooten serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Britain and the loving people and their animals of the Therapet Foundation. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Arielle Lee, Dr. Glen Sorrentino, Dr. Randy Murff, Dr. Andrew Kirkpatrick, Dr. Stephen Hutto, and Dr. Mingiziem Ermiru for their compassionate support, care, and love they gave to Glyne. Also to all of the special people at Health South, Hospice of East Texas, and Genesis Home Healthcare who touched our loved one with grace, care and dignity, we humbly thank you. They would also like to thank Noy for her friendship and care while cutting Glyne’s hair and Maria for always being there.
Heartfelt thanks from Betty to Holly and Charlie for their generosity in the four years of their caring and sharing with Glyne in his home and all of the memories that were made and shared together.
