

He was born to the late Rhydonia Decker and Willie Dewey Prudhomme in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 30, 1938. He served four years in the Air Force and had a passion for airplanes, electronics and nature. Following the Air Force, he enjoyed a career of almost 40 years as an Electrical Engineer.
In July 1995, he married Marla, the love of his life, and they lived in the Tyler/Lindale area ever after. Following his retirement in 2003, he enjoyed several hobbies including traveling, spending time at home with family including several dogs, fishing in his favorite boat and just enjoying life.In keeping with his wishes, a private service for Al Prudhomme will be held this week.
He is survived by his wife, Marla Prudhomme of Lindale; her son and his wife: Derek and Erica McCaghren of Ramstein AFB, Germany; daughter, Tonya Prudhomme Todd of Houston and son, Kevin Prudhomme of Lindale.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until noon, Saturday, June 24th, at the Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Al would have preferred that friends instead, enjoy an activity that made them happy.
