Mrs. Angela Sgherza

Sgherza, Angela [ nee Leone ], 86, of Weehawken, NJ formally of Hoboken, NJ passed away at her residence with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Born in Molfetta, Italy, she came to the United States in 1935, at the age of 15 years old were she settled in Hoboken, then in Weehawken for the rest of her life.

Angela was trained as a Seamstress and worked in that trade for many years, and finally retired in 1985. She was an active member for many years for the Holy Family RC Church in Union City, NJ.

She is survived by her loving Daughter Frances Monetti, Five [ 5 ] Adoring Grandchildren and Three [ 3 ] Cherished Great Grandchildren. She is Pre ~ Deceased by her Devoted Husband the Late Joseph Sgherza and Beloved Son the Late Frank Sgherza.

A Funeral will be conducted by Leber Funeral Home 2000 Kennedy Boulevard at 20th Street, Union City, NJ on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 8:00 AM thence a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Holy Family RC Church, Union City, NJ. Entombment Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. The Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 25, 2007 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
